About Headbands
Free online Headbands / Heads Up style game. Hold the screen to your forehead and guess the word from your team's clues before the timer runs out.
Headbands - inspired by Heads Up - flips charades around: instead of acting, you're the one guessing your own secret word from everyone else's clues. Because you can't see what's on your own forehead, it's a wonderfully chaotic, laugh-out-loud game. It needs just one device and works brilliantly at parties, family gatherings, and as a lively classroom warm-up. It's also one of the few guessing games that survives a video call intact: the guesser holds their phone to their forehead facing the camera, and everyone else in the call reads the word and fires clues from wherever they live.

How do you play Headbands?๏ผ
Hold the screen to your forehead so others can see the word but you can't. Your team gives clues, you guess out loud, and you tap 'Got it' for each correct answer before time runs out.
How is it different from Charades?๏ผ
In Charades you act out a word your team guesses. In Headbands you're the guesser - the word is shown to everyone except you, and they help you figure it out with clues.
What categories are there?๏ผ
Animals, Actions, Movies & TV, Jobs, Objects, and Sports - or choose 'All' for a mix of everything.
How many players do I need?๏ผ
At least two - one to guess and one or more to give clues - but it's most fun with a bigger group taking turns.
Does it work over a video call?๏ผ
Surprisingly well. The guesser opens this page on their phone and holds it to their forehead facing their camera, so everyone on the call can read the word and shout clues. Grandparents in another country make excellent, chaotic clue givers.
