Tap a jewel, then tap a neighbour to swap them. Three in a line clears - and what falls in can clear again.
About Jewel Match
Free match-three jewel puzzle with cascading chains, three ways to play, four to seven gem types, and distinct shapes so colour is never the only clue.
Match-three is the most played puzzle format there has ever been, and the reason is the cascade. Lining up three of something is not interesting on its own - what makes it stick is that clearing them drops new jewels in, those sometimes line up by themselves, and a single good swap can run away into a chain the player did not plan and could not entirely predict. That gap between what you intended and what actually happened is the whole appeal. This version gives every jewel its own shape as well as its own colour, which matters more than it sounds: roughly one man in twelve has some form of colour blindness, and a board that only distinguishes red from green is unplayable for them. You can switch the shapes off if you would rather have plain gems.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my jewels swap back?+
Because that swap did not line up three of anything. Only swaps that actually make a match are allowed to stand.
What is a chain?+
When the jewels that fall in to fill a gap happen to line up by themselves, that clears too - and each further link is worth progressively more. Big scores come from chains, not from single matches.
What happens if there are no moves left?+
The board reshuffles itself, keeping the same jewels. You never get stuck.
Can I play without a timer?+
Yes. Choose "never" for how the game ends and it becomes endless, with no clock and no move limit.
Why do the jewels have different shapes?+
So colour is never the only way to tell them apart, which makes the game playable if you are colour blind. You can turn the shapes off in the options.
Is my best score saved?+
Yes, in your browser, and separately for each of the three ways to play.
