Wait for green. Tap first. Do not flinch.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ 2 players

Both players tap Tap when ready in their own half. Lie a tablet flat between you for face to face, or sit side by side. Full screen makes it much bigger. Most games also work on one keyboard: Blue uses W A S D and Space, Red uses the arrow keys and Enter.

About Quick Draw

Play Quick Draw free: a two-player reaction duel on one phone or tablet. Wait for green and tap first. Decoy flashes on Hard.

Reaction duels are older than electricity - the schoolyard version is two people with hands out, waiting for a third to shout. The skill is not really speed, it is nerve: an average adult reacts in about a quarter of a second, and the gap between two people is often a few hundredths, so the round is usually lost by the one who guesses. That is why the early-tap rule matters more than the fast-tap one. The yellow decoys on Hard exist purely to punish guessing, and they make it a surprisingly fair contest between a child and a grown-up.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good reaction time?๏ผ‹

Around 250 milliseconds is typical for an adult on a touch screen. Under 200 is very quick. Children are usually a little slower, which the early-tap rule evens out - a careful child beats a jumpy adult.

Why did I lose when I tapped first?๏ผ‹

You tapped before the light went green. That is a false start, and the round goes to the other player.

How do we hold the tablet?๏ผ‹

Lie it flat between you for face to face - the top half turns round to face the other player. Or sit side by side with it upright in front of you. It picks one from the shape of the screen, and the button in the middle switches it.

What do the yellow flashes do?๏ผ‹

They are decoys, on Medium and Hard. Tapping on yellow counts as a false start.
