How to play Word Chain
- 1Choose the number of players (or Solo) and how many seconds each turn gets.
- 2The game gives a starting word. The next player must enter a word beginning with its last letter.
- 3For example, after 'apple' the next word must start with 'E' - like 'elephant'.
- 4Words must be at least two letters and can't repeat a word already used in the chain.
- 5Enter a valid word before the timer hits zero, or you're eliminated from the round.
- 6The last player remaining wins. In Solo mode, see how long a chain you can build before time runs out.
Word Chain (also called Word Ladder or Grab on Behind) is a quick-thinking vocabulary game. The rule is simple - your word must start with the last letter of the word before it - but under a ticking clock it gets surprisingly tense.
