One phone, one spy, a room full of suspicion
Find the Imposter is a pass-and-play deduction game for everyone gathered in one place. One phone goes around the circle; every player secretly sees the same word - except the imposter, who must bluff through the hint rounds without it. Because the AI chooses the secret word from any topic you type, in any language and matched to your group's age, the same game works at a kids' birthday, a Diwali gathering, or a late-night party with friends.
It needs no equipment, no cards, and no second device - just people in the same room and one screen to pass. That in-person secrecy is the game; when the family is spread across countries instead, our code-join games (Live Quiz, Buzz, and the 304 card table) bring everyone together online.
How to play
- 1Choose a category or type any topic in any language, pick an age group and difficulty, and set the player count (3-12).
- 2Pass the phone around the circle. Each player secretly peeks at their card: the word, or 'You are the imposter'.
- 3Go around the group - everyone says one word or short hint related to the secret word.
- 4The imposter bluffs along, guessing at hints without knowing the word. Real players try not to give it away.
- 5After a round or two of hints, discuss and vote on who the imposter is.
- 6Reveal! The group wins by catching the imposter; the imposter wins by staying hidden - or by guessing the word.

Do we all need our own phones?＋
No - the whole point is one phone passed around the circle. Each player secretly peeks at their card and passes it on. No app, no accounts, nothing to set up.
Can the AI pick words about any topic?＋
Yes. Type any theme in any language - food, football, your family's favourite films - choose the age group and difficulty, and the AI serves a secret word that fits your group. A built-in word bank keeps it playable if AI is unavailable.
How many players do we need?＋
3 to 12. With three it's a quick bluffing duel; with a big family circle the discussions and accusations get gloriously chaotic.
Can we play it over a video call?＋
Not really - the game depends on privately passing one phone around, so it's best in person: family gatherings, sleepovers, classrooms, and parties. For games the whole family can join from other countries by code, try Live Quiz, Buzz, or the 304 card table.
Is it suitable for kids?＋
Yes - pick the young-kids or kids age group and the words stay simple and familiar. Everything is family-friendly by design.
