About Math Duel
Play Math Duel free: a two-player maths race on one screen. Tap the right answer to the same sum first. One try per sum. Adding, subtracting and times tables.
Practising sums is a lot more fun against somebody, and a duel turns a worksheet into a race without anyone noticing. The wrong answers are always near the right one, the kind of slip people actually make, so guessing rarely pays. Easy is adding within 10, Medium adds taking away within 20, and Hard mixes in the times tables up to 12.

Easy: adding within 10. Medium: adding and taking away within 20. Hard: bigger sums plus times tables to 12.
Can a younger child play an older one?๏ผ
Give the younger one a head start by choosing best of five, or just play on Easy.
How do we hold the tablet?๏ผ
Lie it flat between you for face to face - the top half turns round to face the other player. Or sit side by side with it upright in front of you. It picks one from the shape of the screen, and the button in the middle switches it.
Do wrong answers cost a point?๏ผ
No, but you get one try per sum - a wrong answer locks you out until the next one, which usually hands the point to the other player. If you both get it wrong, nobody scores and a new sum appears.
