Too easy or too hard?
What Reception covers
First sounds, rhyming words, capital letters at the start of a name, and which word means the opposite.
Topics in this set (72 questions)
The three levels
All three ask Reception questions. The level changes how much help you get, not how hard the maths is.
No clock, three lives and two helpers. Take as long as you like.
Twenty-five seconds a question, three lives, one helper.
Fifteen seconds, two lives, no helpers. Bigger score if you hold on.
For the grown-up in the room
- Every answer is explained, right or wrong. That line is the part that teaches.
- The results screen breaks the round down by topic, so you can see what to practise rather than just a score.
- Read-aloud is on by default at this age, so a child who cannot read the question yet can still play alone.
- Nothing is stored anywhere but this device, and no score from here goes on a public board.
